Ignition problem?
When you turn the ignition off and remove the key if you push the barrel all the electrics come back on. I don't think it should do this! Any one had this happen before? What should I be looking at?

Re: Cleaned throttle body, is something missing?
Will try but it's hidden under the airbox. Why would it be removed? Are there issues with it?

Cleaned throttle body, is something missing?
I cleaned the throttle body on the Polo over the weekend and found a hose connected at the back. This hose had been cut and a bolt shoved in with a jubilee clip holding it on. What is this hose for and does it matter that it has been "modified"?

1.4 16v (75hp) cutting out
The Mrs tells me that it has now happened twice. First time at low speed but then it happened today while she was travelling at 70mph on a motorway. She looked down and the revs went to zero then it carried on as normal. I'd like to fix this before it stops and doesn't start again. Any ideas? I'm th...

Don't get the kit from Ebay either, it's cheaper directly from your dealer. I think I paid about £12 for the kit.

Dodgy coolant sensor?
I went up to see my parents over the weekend (260 mile round trip) and took the Polo for a bit of a blast while she disappeared off on a hen weekend in my car  . When I came back yesterday I noticed that the coolant reading on the dash went back to zero a couple of times (only in the first hal...

Key transponder removal
I fitted the Rclick system to the car on the weekend and the Mrs got the key cut yesterday but the place couldn't get the transponder out of the old one. Anyone know how it comes out?

Re: How to install RClick Remote Central Locking Kits (6n2)
This is a great guide and I've just completed my installation, however I have a couple of observations. (Not wanting to to tread on anyones toes!!) Firstly white to white/green and white/black to white/yellow were the other way around for mine (pressing lock on the remote unlocked it and vis-versa) ...

Re: spare tires - would they fit?
They are both 13s so physically they will fit, but your rolling radius will be altered so the speedo will be miles out.

Don't buy a Cupra R splitter from ebay, they are only about £20 from your local SEAT dealer!!

For the amount of hassle involved it would probably be easier just to get another remap.

Re: Remote central locking. How easy to fit?
I'll be fitting an rclick kit to the Polo shortly, are the red connectors supplied with the kit ok or do I need to get some better quality ones? I don't really want to have to leave the car in pieces while I get more bits!

Re: coilover help
If you move the platform up then you are shortening the overall length of the unit so it will lower the car, you need to increase the overall length.

Bumper rub strip
Anyone know how you remove the front bumper rub strips. When we bought the car it had a scuff and I think it'll be cheaper to find a strip already coloured (from a scrapper) than trying to get it repaired.
