good gawd what gearbox did you have? :D I can see 106 just kissing redline at 6k, could go on to 114 or so before hitting limiter with enough of a hill.. cant remember the model number but its the late 4spd. the late german mk2's did have the NZ and 3F engines. thats why the late mk2 has the studs on the drivers wing

not quite, a bolt on that sits on the carb allows a much better airflow, These things have been tried and tested to ensure optimum mile/gallon and maximum power benefit whilst maintaining a good noice. only prob keel is you will be missing out on all that lovely noise, plus the air is colder with a bolt on. the aibox design is to run on injection mainly because they couldnt get bolt on filters set up properly

if they scrub now, was their any need to put such large spacers on? cant you go for a higher offset with smaller spacers?

sounds good. I am fortunate though, bent my drivers side TCA and anti roll bar the other day, luckily cos the top mount and the lower strut are 60mm closer to each other it put less leverage on the tca at the time of impact

yea mine are 13's, 60/40 is by far the best of all worlds. Careful on going fully loaded or braking hard though, as funny noises occur
