Re: Why no 1.2 TSI with DSG?
Does sound odd they do a 86hp one that would be a nice replacement for the 1.4 an that would suit a dsg or even the 105 Then again the 105 1.6tdi would also be nice I'm not sure I don't think they even offer dsg on the diesels either Shame they don't offer the 2.0 143 tdi :D VW have never had a die...

Re: Why no 1.2 TSI with DSG?
Maybe VW don't think it will sell? If I was going to go for a Polo again, then it would b a 1.2 TSI DSG. Maybe you could import one instead?

Re: Bye Bye Polo
You are swapping a Polo for a Up? I would have a Polo everyday over a Up. The Up isn't that well equipped either, unless you pay extra for the options.

Re: Oil purchase
That oil sounds about right if it is for longlife servicing.

Re: DSG on the blink
UPDATE: After 24 hours with my local VW dealer (and supplier) of my Polo, they have concluded the problem is the 'Metatronic' system/box. The part is on order (apparently it comes from Germany and will here on Tuesday). This required a physical part of the DSG box replacing. The dealer admits it's ...

Re: Using Oil!
Does the oil problem just affect VW Polo TSI or does it affect other VW Group cars like the Seat Ibiza TSI? Just wondering, as I am considering getting a Seat Ibiza 1.2 TSI DSG next year, don't want to get it if I have to top up the oil every month. No - I don't think you will have any problems wit...

Re: New member Soon to be owner.
I would go for red as the Polo looks best in that colour.

Re: VW Polo Match
Thats intresting, is the specs any different to the SE? Seems strange that VW don't have it listed on their web site, it only has the ones that were already on it.

VW Polo Match
Just looked at the Motability web site for the new prices for July-September 2011, I saw the VW Polo Match for £99, this has not been on VW's web site, has ths model just been launched? They still have the SE and SEL on Motability, was suprised to the Match model listed even though it hasn't been an...

Re: Using Oil!
I just checked the oil in my car, its only done 350 miles and its hovering just above the minimum on the dipstick. Away to top it up with some 10w40. Hope i dont break it lol!! That can't be right. For the car to have used nearly 3 litres in only 350 miles doesn't make sense. I would get it checked...

Re: DSG 'crashing'
Interesting. I drive a VW Polo with hand controls. I am changing my car next year. If I get a DSG Polo, I would have to drive it mainly in 'auto' mode, is this possible with the DSG box? You can drive it in full auto mode as well :D Cheers. I have heard though it can be a bit jerky in auto mode. Is...

Re: DSG 'crashing'
I thought the DSG was classed as a auto? It is not strictly a manual, but a automated manual. If you prefer driving manuals, why get a DSG? Department of transport might consider DSG as an auto but it just isn't. Look up DSG on Wikipedia. It is a race derived manual with electro-mechanical shift ca...

Re: DSG 'crashing'
Sounds like a warrantee job. I have now covered 22,000kms in 15 months and am still unsure is the DSG is all it's cracked up to be (1.4 16V petrol). There are times when it seems caught out by a sudden need for power, like slowing down approaching a roundabout and then seeing a space and hitting th...
