New Polo GTI on order
Cannot wait for it to arrive!! I was originally going for a blue one, but with me being OCD with car cleaning I decided against it for being to dark and would show up all the scratches. My main reason for changing to a VW is that I am getting fed up of the 50 mile round trip to the decent Seat deal...

1.2 TSI + DSG
The official limit is 250Nm, you are correct however tuners have been able to extract a safe and useable 350Nm out o the dq200 but generally a dsg tune is also required, otherwise the failure-riddled clutch packs will torch themselves far quicker. The issues you talk about plague the warmer climates...

Questions about 6r GTI. Remapping. Intake and exhaust
A good tuning company should be able to provide an easily adaptable tune. Contrary to hurdy's comments, the school of thought here is that upgrading the radiator is a waste of time as the coolant temperatures seen on stage 2 cars (even in +35 degree weather) do not pose a threat to engine performanc...

Coming home lights - special technique?
The sensors and/or section of the wiring harness required are not built into the vehicle so it will not work.

DSG Problem
Fault in the mechatronics issue, very common problem. Report it to the dealership and get them to look at it, most likely it's thrown a code.

Federal 595 Evo here. Excellent dry grip and pretty darn good wet considering the tread pattern.

Yes it is as easy as it looks. Jack up, unscrew, pull out.

I used to be a massive advocate of the DSG box but I for one am glad that they are only offering a manual version after m last 5 weeks of troubles:(
Won't apparently be built in RHD either.

Car Cleaning
The best paint care you can get on a white ca is nanolex paint sealant and the top-up shampoo. If you rinse the main contaminants off the car every week and shampoo every month or even more regularly, the sealant will protect your paintwork for up to 12 months and make cleaning a doddle:)

Nope, no aftermarket manufacturers develop intercoolers for the 1.2 tsi. You could always get a generic intercooler and fab up the pipe work yourself but to be honest, with temps over there and unless you were going crazy with the boost, probably not worth it.

Anyone else had a mechatronics failure?
Another update, for those of you who have rattles, strange clunky gear changes or shuddering, take it up with Vw Uk because in China, recently every vehicle with a dsg has been given a 10year, 160,000km (100,000 mile) warranty due to the massive public backlash against them, both the DQ200 (7spd dry...

Anyone else had a mechatronics failure?
Well the update is this: the mechatronics are indeed to blame, specifically the valve that controls the actuation of clutch 1.
