Awesome photos John!
Looks brilliant in red - so glad I picked that too. Also, interior looks great with electronic climate control instead of normal air-con.
Glad to hear your initial thoughts on Sport setting, and that it isn't too hard for UK roads

Re: New GTI
McPherson at the front, torsion beam at the rear. The Polo GTI's sports suspension ensures exceptionally agile and secure handling. The technical basis for this comes from a set-up with a McPherson-type front axle and a torsion beam axle for the rear wheels. The chassis of the GTI is 10 mm lower at...

Re: Newbie ordering a 6C Gti - hopefully
Many people saying the 'sports button' isn't useful especially when choosing a manual. The main complaints being it makes the ride far too firm and the extra noise seems artificial And there are many videos online and posted on here where people say the sports button is what turns it into a real GT...

Re: New GTI
At last, just been told that my car has arrived in the UK!! :D Hurrah! That's excellent news! Your car was a week 16 build wasn't it? I'll have to see if my dealer has any updates on mine. Yes it was. Apparently it's currently sat at Grimsby. Depressingly mine is still showing as 'in-transit' at pr...

Re: New GTI
Whilst some of us are still waiting on our cars, there's a decent write-up on the new GTI from PoloDriver.com here:
A hotter shot: 2015 Volkswagen Polo GTI first drive
Thumbs-up for the Sport button it seems.

Re: New GTI
My dealer has said that problems at the Emden Port in Germany meant that for the moment they were not accepting anymore vehicles for shipping. Does everything have to make it's way to Emden for departure to the UK? There will be another registration change at this rate by the time I get it. ...

So another four weeks and, hopefully, it'll be here in the UK.

Mine makes the 'click' noise when the wipers move too.
Pretty sure it's just the sound from the relay making them operate.

That's not good. I had an estimated one within about two weeks of ordering, and then confirmed after about 6 weeks.Andy4791 wrote:No build date for me yet, ordered 13 Feb [emoji19]
Have you spoken to your dealer? Alternatively, you can tweet @VWUKHelp your order number and they can update you.
