Apologies, must have missed that on the previous page.

However, I’d still be wary. As noted above there’s quite a few little things that would niggle at me. Have you looked at any other BlueGTs at all?

Re: Hello all, potential new polo owner here

Looks to be missing the GT badge from the front grille. Could be nothing, or could suggest a previous potential front-end collision - especially when combined with the peeling paintwork on the front bumper. May be entirely innocent, but I’m a cynic when it comes to used cars! As others have suggeste...

Re: Genuine VW Polo 6R/6C Carbon Optic Wing Mirror Covers

Hi, how easy are these to fit and are they a good fir like the standard covers? I bought a set of real carbon ones and they were a nightmare to fit. One of the clips eventually broke. If anything I'd say these carbon optic ones fit better than the original factory-painted ones that came with the ca...

SOLD - VW Polo 6R/6C Carbon Optic Wing Mirror Covers

Hi all. Set of genuine Volkswagen Carbon Optic wing mirror covers. Have been used on my 6C Polo GTI, but are in immaculate condition. No marks, scratches, or even any dead bugs! All the clips are intact and, as you can seen, even includes the original VW box with fitting instructions. For ...

Re: Polo Owners with Chrome Exhaust Tips; how sooty do your tips get?

I've had a fair bit of carbon build up on the bottom half of my exhaust tips.

I'll admit I'm a little bit lazy when it comes to washing my GTI, so that might be more of a factor than anything else. Little bit of effort with some Autosol sorts them out though.

Re: Windscreen Mould

I had a windscreen replaced via Autoglass at the end of last year. The first fitter turned up with some aftermarket windscreen, which fitted horribly. Thankfully he wasn't satisfied with it himself, and made an order for an OEM windscreen via a local dealership. Not sure why VW would say it needs 2-...

Re: Scuffed wheels

Out of interest, where did you get a quote of £80 for a full diamond cut refurb from? I've had prices of around £110-120 in the North East. Don't think I'd personally want to attempt a DIY refurb on the 'Parabolica' wheels! They are quite vulnerable - low profile tyres with not a great deal of prote...

Re: New GTi (6C) seating position

Think the GTI is limited by the fact it has the storage drawers beneath the front seats. That eats into how low it can go.

Ibiza Cupra doesn't have the storage bits, and that seat definitely seemed to go lower.

Spending a week with the GTI's Spanish cousin this week; testing the 1.8 TSI Ibiza Cupra Black. This is one of the photos from the shoot I did the other night.

Obviously pretty damn similar to drive, but I'm happy I bought a GTI. :D

Re: Audi/VW Parts Compatibility

Welcome! :D I'm not sure the S1 / A1 S Line split rear spoiler would fit. Although they share bits, I imagine the profile of the boot wouldn't match up between Polo and A1 sufficiently well. Instead, I'd suggest doing a search for the Polo WRC rear spoiler. That's the one from the LHD-only WRC speci...

Re: New GTI - Good deal?

As others have pointed out, that's not particularly competitive. I'd strongly recommend trying the Orange Wheels configurator to see what kind of price they suggest. Check out CarWow too, as they're pulling in some impressive deals at the minute from what I've seen. Even if you don't actually buy th...

Big fan of those wheels from playing around with the VW Germany 'konfigurator' on their website.

Interested to see how they look on a car for real! :D

Re: Anyone else think their GTI is s**t? or any polo

How long do you spend looking at your rear lights? I can't say I give it a great deal of thought, and I'm quite pleased VW didn't waste money fitting rear-LED stuff for the benefit of random people behind me in traffic. Surely that's a somewhat disingenuous comment coming from a car journalist? You...

Re: Anyone else think their GTI is s**t? or any polo

From reading this, it sounds a lot more like an issue with one individual car, and a dealership who haven't resolved things properly. Have you contacted Volkswagen Customer Service to raise this with them? You can talk about cost-cutting and backward design steps, but the simple fact is if a Polo GT...
