Re: Polo 6r GTI - Revo Stage 1 or APR Stage 1?

the problem here is your responses will be from A, a REVO fanboy or B, an APR fanboy. Im not a REVIO fanboy that s for sure. Theres no doubting their performance is always amongst the top two contenders on every car they map, but im just not a fan. As for APR having a few guys with problems with the...

Re: Remap

Ive had 3 maps on my car. Shark Performance stage 2, Jabbasport custom and now an APR map. I personally would say a jabbasport custom or an APR remap is the way to go. Ive done reviews/comparisons on my shark and jabbamap. My APR experience isnt really comparable as im running a hybrid turbo so not ...

Re: 6R Polo GTI stage 2 project

On track I was getting 125-130° after 4 laps which is about the maximum you could go before losing viscisity thys lubrication.

I'm now using Motul 300V oil which is used in race applications and can sustain much higher temps than oem fluid

Re: 6R Polo GTI stage 2 project

Yep, just been playing and...... Turned off the anti-hijack setting so all the doors and boot open/lock with one plip of the remote. Enabled the unlock/lock beep confirmation, so the car now beeps twice to open and once to lock. Turned off the annoying bonging sound for the seatbelt warning sensor ...

Re: 6R Polo GTI stage 2 project

I've seen those pics before......

At locopolo

Starting with the intercooler and radiator IMO is the best plan of action now that they are released. Even at stock these engines run very very hot so ithink the benefits are there to be had from stock

Re: 6R Polo GTI stage 2 project

Mine did quite drastically on.motorway cruises. Between maidstone and Nottingham I averaged my best of 52mpg. That's with me, wife, child dog and luggage at speed limit the whole way. There was the 20mile long contraflow though which no doubt helped alot

Re: 6R Polo GTI stage 2 project

The sps switch doesnt remove the map. It just turns the boost, timing and fueling down to a setting that replicates stock performance

Re: MANUAL GTI POLO?!

^^^^What point are you trying to make exactly?? :? the point is it's stupid having 1.4 GTI because it run out of fuel too quick. A motorway journey of 100 miles you'd have to stop once at least once. I know having a GTI is not economical but come on 1.4 GTI. might aswell start making 1.2 and 1.0 GT...
