Re: New Brakes at 20k?

I am sure the earth cable is what knackered up a friends Polo now you mention it. I did get a great deal at VW once had one of the bosses family cars in a Golf just over 3 years old with an engine that sounded like a bag of spanners. It was the cam followers, probably because there was no oil in the...

Just before the second service I had a bit of a wobble coming through the steering wheel under breaking. I was pretty much on 20 thousand miles so I waited a week then reported it when I booked it in. Sure enough the diagnosis was new discs and pads. Now its a bit catch 22 The only way to cure it wo...

Re: Thank god for winter pack

I miss my heated seats it was minus 15 here a few years ago and they are warm long before the engine has started warming the car.
Was out in a range Rover this morning with heated steering wheel great idea.

Re: Suspected faulty speaker

I had the passenger side replaced under warranty at the first service. At first they said they couldn't hear it but to be fair it wasn't always obvious. I played a bit of music till we found the right notes a bit of acoustic bass guitar had it rattling for fun. They rebooked it and replaced it no pr...

Re: Can I swap the front and back wheels?

Nothing wrong with swapping the tyres though people have been doing it for years regardless what current practice is. I swapped mine when I took the winters o...

Re: Auto windows up & down via key fob.

Love the windows up bit, had Minis for years and they only come down on the key.
Loads of cars do the windows down bit BMW's VW group etc. but not many close on the key too.
