Just confirmed with tps. The 'A' suffix is the near side ball joint.
Cheers

Re: Ball joint part no. NS or OS?
I can see they are different in shape. It's strange as the invoice tells me which track rod end is which side and then nothing for the ball joints.

Ball joint part no. NS or OS?
I've got a pair of lower ball joints from TPS. No where on the packet does it say nearside or offside.
I have:
6N0 407 365
6N0 407 365 A
Which is which please?
Cheers.

Re: 280mm discs with standard stone guard?
I want them on cause I want to keep everything OEM as possible. :) I understand, I also like my cars to be as they left the factory, in which case I'll leave you alone to have the argument with yourself as to why you are fitting 280mm discs :) Haha, I like to call it OEM+ I wouldn't k...

Re: 280mm discs with standard stone guard?
Cheers carrera, I've bought some and they look like they'll fit fine. They're not like the rears where it is a large semicircle with an edge that hugs the disk, its more of a kidney shape with no edge as such.

280mm discs with standard stone guard?
As above really, I've got some 280mm discs and the larger carriers from a G60 or the like. They've come off a 6n2 already so happy days in that respect. So I'm stripping the front end right back - leaving the subframe in - to give it all a good overhaul. My splash/stone guards were none exsistant as...

Re: Help please
I had the same sort of issues a few years back, it turned out to be lamda sensor problems. I had a post cat fail shortly before the wiring on the pre cat broke. The difference for me was that I had Vagcom pointing me in the right direction. It's a bit expensive changing those if it's not gauranteed ...

Re: 6n2 GTI Conversion from 1.4 16V
I'm not 100% sure on this subject but have you also got the transponder ring that goes around the ignition barrel from the donor car too? That goes off to another box of tricks which lives just up behind the light switch if I remember rightly. I take it the key/ecu are paired and from the same donor...

Handbrake stuck off
Like most people I leave the handbrake off if the car is going to be left standing for a while. Ironically I've suffered the opposite problem in that it now won't pull up/on. I've had the RH brake Caliper off for a peak and the piston is still free to move when using the brake pedal. It also winds b...
