Well I have a new brake servo to fit then its going to go to braided hoses before I can have a go at the audi calipers, though the way things are I think this is more likely than not.

Do you have them fitted to your car? Any good?

I know that the stock charger pulley is 75mm in diameter, I think the max charger rotate speed is of the order of 10-15k (based on the 16k rpm bearing). I will be looking at the belts on my car soon so I will measure the lower pulley, I will dig out some definite info and post them here. What are yo...

Still no joy in locating audi brakes that I can fit, but thought I would say that apparently willwood do a kit (actually about 3 kits depending on wheel size) that are for a Mk1 Golf, but will fit a G40 as its the same setup. From 247-280mm, with 4 pot calipers. Around £500 inc vat. Got the info fr...

Do you really recommend the R1?

Mine is having a rebuild in the new year (soon as I can book it and sort out another car!) not sure what to go for, a stage4 or the R1. Want to have at least another 40k out of the charger so which would you guys recommend for long service life?

Update on my system. It developed a fault where as only one mount had been used on the back box it started to rotate around the front union. This was sorted out in about 50mins by them down at longlife, they put another support on and put a dab of weld the front section to stop it rotating. Pleased ...

I have had drilled discs before and yes they cracked around the holes eventually, but these ones (from TSR) cracked on the edges!! This is probably due to me running 15" wheels with 195/45/15 Goodyear tyres and being able to apply loads of pressure before the wheels lock up. But still, I would ...

Here is a pic of my new exhaust, I went for a tailpipe as close to the original as possible. http://www.foranangel.co.uk/files/l79-ex.jpg I do actually find the exhaust loud, I would prefer it to have been quieter, but that was the best they could do. I think I try power flow for systems on future c...

Stainless Exhaust

Those on the G40 list will know that I had a problem with my exhaust, seeming to block up, anyway wasnt the cat in the end but the back box. I decided to have a Longlife decat system in 2" stainless fitted (£340) as the new back box was about £120 anyway. Very impressed, its a bit louder than...
