I would say that perhaps what you're listening is the little fan that refrigerated the unit at the back? Mine keeps working a few minutes after I turn off the ignition if I've used the sat nav or even just using the radio for let's say 30 min drive...

Removing the headlights it's a 10 min job, 2 screws per headlight (at the top)....

Another update!!! A big thanks to Ciclo, without him this mod would have been impossible! You're the best! :D Installed the Eibach springs Pro-Kit! Lowered the Polo -25mm front and -30mm rear! Now the car looks much much better and in terms of handling the Polo gains more stability on corners and ro...
