Re: 01276 - ABS Hydraulic Pump (V64): Signal Outside Speci
Well I did mine today in my Dinner hour and it is a pretty easy job to do in fact the hardest thing for me was getting hold of a E5 torx bit. The casing was a faff as it took time but the seam is pretty to follow with a hack saw. I drove home tonight and its been the first time in ages that the ligh...

Re: GTI 5th Gear Ratio
This is interesting, I read this thread last night and checked my car going to work this morning, when I am driving at 70mph my rev counter needle is just past 3,000rpm I took it to 80 and its just under 4,000rpm. I thought mine was low geared (mind you I have been driving diesels for the last ten ...

Re: Where is the A/C pressure switch?
Hi
Its on the drivers side just below and behind the head lamp where the air con pipe drops down, if you take off the fog light grill and remove the fog light you can look up and see it attached to the pipe on a tee,

I had a similar problem with mine, it had a sony head unit in it when I bought it but the radio reception was pretty poor. I fitted an inline booster from halfords and its been fantastic ever since, they only cost about a tenner but you might find them cheaper on ebay (I wanted mine done there and t...

Re: Aircon Issue
Its the same thing, Mine did the same. when I scanned HVAC for faults it came up with that fault code but when I scanned the engine for faults it came up with the other one (about the G65 sender) I looked into it and found that the G65 does both jobs it detects high and low pressure in the system, i...

Re: possible exhaust /inlet valve
I thought when you did a compression test it was not supposed to vary much (I think its 15% off the top of my head) Between the highest and lowest number. looking at those numbers It looks like there is a problem between cylinders 1 and 2 or certainly on 1, These are pretty high compression engines ...

Re: What's everyones MPG these days?
I get between 37 and 42mpg depending how I drive on a long commute on mainly A roads. I am pretty happy with that. I have not noticed a difference between using normal unleaded and super unleaded on fuel economy but it does feel a bit crisper and more responsive using super unleaded, not sure if tha...

Re: Hello and help me
Ok, an update and a slap in the face for me time I had a look at a workshop manual on the internet to see what everything does and how it works and then went and did what I should have done after I changed the sensor, I re checked the pressure in the system, It had lost around 10psi and took itself ...
