Clunking noise :(
Yeah found a couple of posts with similar issues & it sounds about right. Where's the best place to get one? I've only seen upgraded one's which are. About £100!

Clunking noise :(
My polo 9n 1.9 tdi has just started making a clunking noise mostly when I change down gears between 3rd & 2nd gear, but doesn't do it when changing up. The noise can be mostly heard if I'm in 2nd or 3rd gear & dabbing the accelerator. From inside the car, the noise sounds like it's coming fr...

9n coolant warning light issue
I've read a few posts on here where people are having issues with the coolant warning light coming on & getting that annoying warning tone. In some cases it might be a case of replacing the expansion tank but this did not solve my issue & this is what solved my problem on my 02 9n 1.9TDI (1 ...

Now my clutch has done 6000 miles, the clutch pedal has returned to normal & has a bit of resistance in it again.

Newby, 9n fuel gauge and temp gauge problem.
I had the same problem with my 02 9n & it turned out the be broken soldered joints on the back of the PCB board in the clocks. Very easy to repair, remove the clocks & resolder the joints shown in my photo. I also re-soldered the joints on the other end of the board http://img.tapatalk.com/d...

Changing lightbulbs (share hints & tips)

Possible hub bearing??
Tried the nut & it was tight but it was the old one with the tabs broken off. There was quite a bit of play in the bearing though. Unfortunately I couldn't get the damn bearing out with a press so gave up, put it back together & booked it into another garage. Fingers crossed they know how to...

Possible hub bearing??
Sorry, I meant hydraulic press not fly press. That's good to know it can be done that way. hopefully after this nothing else will need doing.
Nearly a £1000 spent so far & not a modified or upgraded part insight lol!

Possible hub bearing??
I've used this garage before for simple things but nothing major, kind of wish I'd done the clutch myself now. I've got a new bearing today & a mates gonna give me a hand to fit it. From all the video's on YouTube, it shows the bearings being pulled out with some sort of puller. My mates got a f...

Re: Possible hub bearing??
I took the wheel of this morning & it seems the bearing might be on its way out. Can anyone confirm what size socket fits the hub nut?
Is it a 36mm 12 point bi hex socket? Or is there a special socket for this?

Possible hub bearing??
Whilst driving home this evening in traffic, I noticed a clicking noise every time I use my brakes. The sound is coming from the passenger side & can be heard with the window down. It only seems to do this at low speeds. When I got home I pushed & pulled the top of the wheel & there is q...
