How to turn on heated door mirrors?
I'm a bit confused, my 2014 BlueGT supposedly has heated door mirrors, and the adjuster dial on the drivers door has a heated symbol on it, but how do I turn them on? Nothing seems to light up to tell me they are on, do they come on with the rear screen perhaps? I tried clicking the adjuster dial up...

Re: Composition audio software update?
Good stuff, mine was pretty stable until recently, it reboots almost every time I start the engine now.

Composition audio software update?
Hi all, The composition media in my 2014 BlueGT is a little unstable, it often reboots when you first start the car and it also forgets the 'turn off screen after x seconds' option between ignition starts. Does anyone know if there have been any updates from VW? I asked my dealer and their response ...

Re: Polo Blue GT
This week I've edged 60mpg daily on the run home, it must be uphill more on the way to work as it generally manages 55-56mpg at the end of the run. 50mph or so seems to be the sweet spot, as it drops a bit towards 50mpg at 60mph and much above 70mph drinks petrol much faster. Even so, the past fortn...

Re: Any BlueGT high mileage drivers
Not a BlueGT but my previous Astra 1.6 Petrol did 210,000 miles without problem, and was still fine when sold, higher mileage is better as the engine is running at full temp most of the time which is way better for keeping engine wear down. 24,000 per year will be fine.

Re: BlueGT Camshaft part :(
A 'part in the camshaft' is not the actual camshaft, it could even be the actuator which controls the ACT? Not sure which cylinder numbers the ACT feature works on, but if one is on cylinder 2 and it stopped working and stuck 'off', this would prevent cylinder 2 from working at any time whether ACT ...

Re: Headlight bulbs
MTECs are cheap and dangerous, my 2014 BlueGT has really white headlamp bulbs but the DRLs are naff orange ones, strange.

Re: Excessive Oil consumption 1.4 8v APQ
I'm presuming white/grey would be burnt oil, blue would be unburnt oil...though white can also be condensation or coolant...
Might be wrong but white suggests piston rings, blue suggests turbo (if applicable) or valve stem oil seals.

Re: VW on-line order tracker
I did find it worked quicker online for me than the dealer was telling me directly, I knew it was on the way before they did.
For reference, my 3dr BlueGT took about 8 weeks from order to delivery on the new 2014 spec for a 3dr.

Re: Polo 6C - Composition Media Update..
About 97% OK. It locked on 'Hanging up' a call last week, and once or twice it has come on then quickly re-booted, but not as bad as yours by the sounds of it.

Re: Polo 6C - Composition Media Update..
I was told I had to book mine in with the service dept. who would check the software version, update if possible, or log the issue with VW otherwise.

I would like some yeah, I did vow I'd not 'modify' this car but, well, they do look good ;) How do you get the full radio channel display up like that? Mine just shows the list of channels and highlights the one chosen, maybe I need to click it again? Does yours also forget the 'turn screen off afte...

Was that price through the dealer? Did you ask for a discount or did they just offer it?

I do within reason yeah, it took me a few days of driving to work out the economy vs. gear options, just play around and see how it reacts
