Can't say I've noticed this, however my screen is coated with GTechniq C5 from the day after I bought it so perhaps that has changed things for me:

Re: Missed this one, no need to display tax disc come Octobe
I only found out this was going to happen because I asked a company for a price on a nice stainless steel tax disc holder (used before for my previous car) to be told there was probably no point as from October I don't need to display one!

Re: 2014 spec. BlueGT finally here :)
2.0TDi I reckon would go through tyres like mad, another reason why a nice light petrol engine was my choice, though if they did a decent power 1.6 diesel I'd have been curious with the right car spec. The BlueGT was a good mix of exterior styling, alloys and nice interior on top of the well balance...

Re: 2014 spec. BlueGT finally here :)
The price of the DSG put me off, that and if I do keep it longer term after the 3yrs, I wasn't convinced on repair and maintenance costs of any issues, but it may well be a long lasting box?

Re: 2014 spec. BlueGT finally here :)
The current Polo is just under 3cm shorter than the MkII Golf GTi...I suspect they'd not 'laugh' if you owned one of those It's no longer a small car in my opinion, I'm 6' 1" and it's not cramped at all.

Re: 2014 spec. BlueGT finally here :)
No doubt a diesel would have been better for me, but at £20 a year car tax and the economy meaning my fuel bill is identical to my old LPG Astra, that ticked my boxes :) The power is addictive, ,very addictive, and the other factor in my decision to go for the BlueGT was for this reason alone. Getti...

Re: 2014 spec. BlueGT finally here :)
What I did notice last night is how white the headlight bulb colour is, I'm going to check them all tonight, however the DRL bulbs are distinctly orange in comparison! I had thought of changing all bulbs but looks like I may not need to.

Re: 2014 spec. BlueGT finally here :)
Yeah the suspension is fine for daily use, in honesty I'd prefer it a bit stiffer, there's an oodle of twitchiness out of corners which I cured on my old car with some decent shocks...
Overall it's a good balance for most drivers I would say.

Re: 2014 spec. BlueGT finally here :)
Running in on anything but mineral oil is a waste of time anyhow, fully synth is just too slippy to allow anything of consequence.

Re: 2014 spec. BlueGT finally here :)
I can't find a thing in the manual about running in so I've not done any, it gets up to temperature VERY quickly :) 55mpg is for me the end of a 26 mile drive mainly, however across town yesterday I managed 60mpg for a 3.5 mile journey which I was amazed at, it is easy enough to make good use of the...

Re: 2014 spec. BlueGT finally here :)
So far it'll average 55mpg on my usual work run, but it drops towards 50 if my right foot is overly heavy on a particular journey. Not sure on the total fuel tank range yet, so far it's suggesting ~440 miles but I've only covered 200 miles so far so once I've emptied the tank a few times I'll get a ...

Re: 2014 spec. BlueGT finally here :)
The headlights are correct. The BlueGT is also the only Polo 6C available with the bi-xenon headlights after the introduction of the full LED headlights. Thanks Martin, I'm still waiting for the dealer to confirm, but I do agree that these are the correct headlights :) Front bumper also is correct.

Re: 2014 spec. BlueGT finally here :)
Mines getting built this week, should be here mid-Aug :D . Though I've opted to pick it up in Sept. Couple of questions for nry:- Whats the road noise like? Hows the audio sound? Road noise...quiet, though I've come from a lowered and modified car with a straight through catback exhaust, so most ca...
