Re: My Polo 6R GTI
So it's been a while, got a few updates. First of all I've installed Red LED footwell lights. Wired them in so they come on with my headlights and I've added a switch so I can turn them off if I get sick of them. (I'll upload an interior pic once I get a good one) Also got myself some Rota Grids. Co...

Re: Footwell lights
Yes you could do that. My advice is to take the blue/grey wire in the rotary light switch connector. Be aware that dimming is perfectly do-able with halogen. But some LEDs are not capable of dimming. Instead of dimming they start to flicker. So the plus comes from the light switch, grey/blue The ma...

Re: Front strut top mount
to change your top mounts you've got to remove the full strut assembly from the hub 1. remove your wheel 2. remove pinch bolt from back of the hub which holds the strut assembly in place 3. once removed, use a small wedge to open the back of the hub up so you can slide the strut assembly out 4. use ...

Re: Brakes!!
I have never used Mintex brake bits on any modern car, but the irony here is that Mintex is the UK based arm of TMD Friction, its other brands include Textar and Pagid. As far as initial quality is concerned, I've always found that Mintex looked and felt like they had been thrown together in a shed...
