Re: Why so many H&R kits For Sale ?
Various reasons from what I've seen.. People wanting lower so upgrade to coilovers/airride but also some change their mind due to road conditions and ride so go back standard. If you like the look and don't mind bouncy ride just do it

Re: 11 Plate GTi creeping forward with handbrake on
Yes even with the handbrake on. The footbrake acts in turn as the clutch if you look at it that way, once its released you'll move. Quickly swapping to park or keeping the footbrake pressed isn't much of a hardship imo. However some auto/dsg cars when the footbrake is fully depressed a light will po...

Re: 6C DSG paddles
I'd advise you to try the car before you think about extensions and even then mock some up with a bit of cardboard first. I know a couple of people who have fitted them and then found they just couldn't get on with them. I tried a Golf with aftermarket extensions, they were an absolute nuisance, ha...

My car isn't due until November time but can someone confirm if these are the correct shifter extensions? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Polo-GTI-TSI-2014-2015-2016-6c-Paddle-Shift-Extensions-Steering-Shifters-7gti-/172272931624?var=&hash=item281c445328:m:mPy3IvVtBOFyedLPxnfRsgQ it has a picture t...

I've used a Karcher k2 for about three years and it finally packed up last weekend after countless use and abuse.. I'm looking at the k4 now possibly. For a cheaper alternative CYR recommends this which has very high reviews - http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/nilfisk-c110-45-x-tra-110-bar-high-performance-...

Re: New member checking in - about to get Polo and also want maintenance advice!
If you are using the wrap as chip protection for the lease company's benefit I wouldn't bother, I've never had an issue returning a car to one because of stone chips. But if they bother you personally I would recommend it.. My old 2011 polo gti was covered! Black paint along with work commutes and a...

Re: New member checking in - about to get Polo and also want maintenance advice!
If you want to make it as easy as possible to keep the car looking fresh and clean invest in a new car vallet as above and the clear wrap. Those two combined will work really well!

Re: New member checking in - about to get Polo and also want maintenance advice!
Daft question maybe, but what's the snowfoam for? A sort of pre-softener? Snowfoam will remove some contaminants from the paintwork and lift/loosen most of any left on, so minimising the chances of swirles and scratches caused in the shampoo stage where you'd be using the wash mitt. Which is why wh...

Re: New member checking in - about to get Polo and also want maintenance advice!
I agree about VW dealers, my last two cars had sunroofs, every time the ends of the seal would get picked up, on one of these VAG forums there is a jpeg of a DO NOT WASH sign to be used, might grab one before Monday, or maybe just advise the service people not to touch it. When my S4 went in for it...

Re: New member checking in - about to get Polo and also want maintenance advice!
I'm no expert but personally think theres a few steps of which most you look as if you'd already follow but either way.. Firstly don't let the monkeys at VW touch the car, request they don't clean it at all otherwise its a 99% chance of being swirled/scratched. Two bucket method with grit guards is ...
