Re: Non-adaptive cruise control
Took me 6 months and many frustrating attempts at pressing SET bang on the correct speed before I realised. The average speed cameras near me are 50, I know that I can sit at 53 so I used to hover around 53 and hit SET. Would never manage it, always landing on 52 or 54. It was a revelation the day I...

Re: RE: Re: New GTI
I saw this the other day and knew something was different, just couldn't put my finger on it. Just noticed looking again, the black sections of the bumper, looks great!Scott Bounce wrote:

Re: RE: Re: Polo 6R/6C Photo Gallery
That grey R-Line above looks cracking, very nice spec! What engine do they run? Cheers for the kind words - I'm absolutely in love with my new motor and glad I made the swith from Ford. The inside is just different gravy and it really does have a touch of class about it. Mine is the 1.0-litre, thre...

Re: New GTI
Ended up with some impromptu photography of the car tonight, these are my favourites of the lot http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161102/ee14482c827093e3f36f44b817eb13c6.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161102/13536a122fffea572cc4248d9f0cc436.jpg Also saw a silk blue GTI on the M8 eastbound, jo...

Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: New GTI
At least your dealer didn't leave you some small scratches and also tonnes of swirl marks! VW 'detailers' are absolute s**t. Always hammer home to em under no circumstances are they to wash it. Even put post it note on my steering wheel telling em lol Well unless my dealer wants to pay out another ...

Re: RE: Re: New GTI
just one or two very minor rattles inside annoying me but nobody else hears them... Seems rattles are quite common. Just booked mine in for the first service. Mentioned the rattle that seems to be coming from the stereo area. Thought I'd sussed it the other day after taking everything out the glove...

Re: New GTI
Spent a few hours today cleaning inside and out in prep for the winter weather. I'm very surprised that the paintwork is still looking very fresh despite being 5 months and 7500 miles into ownership. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161030/f4b5554eb1228606f5e66bae2c5b5972.jpg Checked the oil and it...

Re: GTI Owners; Does your car encourage bad driving behaviour by other drivers?
Only happened once that I can remember, very young lad in a brand new Merc A45 AMG, trying to goad me into >70 antics on the motorway. I was happy cruising so he got bored and thundered off (those things are bloody quick!) Not bad behaviour as such but people seem to pull out in front of me or lane ...

Re: Disabling dimming for instrument cluster?
I have been annoyed by this too. Especially so considering I have auto headlights - how can the car think it's dark enough to make the instruments unreadable, but not dark enough to switch the headlights on? I've checked the settings menu in the system and my auto lights are set to "Early"...

Re: 95/99 Ron - Strange results
I tend to mix between 95 and 99 depending where I am (no 99 supply near work unless I take a big detour). And these can be anything from Asda 95 to BP Ultimate or Tesco 99. Personally, I've never noticed much of a difference in mpg, always getting around 380 miles from brimmed to the red light. The ...
