Re: Coilovers for the New new new Polo

Having had the best part of a dozen cars over the years that I've fitted with various suspension kits to I'd say the secret to success with UK buyers would be to supply a kit that rides well as well as lowering the car. I've had quite a few high end suspension kits that I've quickly regretted buying...

Black TD Pro Race 1.2 7x16'' 4x100

Set of four Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2s in gloss black. The same style of wheel used by the touring car racers; light and strong. 7x16'' 4x100 PCD Spigot rings to fit VW 57.1mm centre bore. These have been on my daily driver for a few years now, but I've put the car back to more or less OEM spec so ...

Re: What size 18's will fit, width, et? tyre size?

215 35 18 Would be a pretty good compromise.
225 40 18 is much too big for a Polo, that 's a Golf size. In fact if they are decent brand tyres you'd probably get a good price for them on ebay or the forums.

Re: GTI Demonstrator availability?

Sorry can't help with a demonstrator but as I own both a MK6 GTI and a 6r GTI I can tell you that the Polo is more fun and does feel more lively than the Golf. There really is nothing in it performance wise so you won't be disappointed with the Polo ( I had an Edition 30 before). It all depends wha...

GTI Demonstrator availability?

Hi all, I've not been round these parts for some time (well, I have actually been here most days but not been posting up, just reading up on your GTI experiences). I used to own a (REVO'd) Polo 1.8t GTI a few years ago and sold it on because it gave me a bad back! No idea why, never could fathom it,...

Re: HELP NEEDED!!!! PLZ

I'm a little concerned that you're willing to risk a warranty on your car using parts that *might* be correct for your specific engine. The 1.8t has been around for years and years now but it had a number of revisions over the years and many of the parts are specific to application. Oil and filter n...

*WANTED* Hubcentric Wheel Spacers, 4x100 PCD

Does anybody have a pair or more decent quality hubcentric wheel spacers lying about that they'd consider selling?

Prefer 15mm -20mm, Eibach or H&R

Need to be four stud 100mm PCD, 57.1 centre bore; Usual 4 stud VW fitment so 6N Polo, mk2 Golf etc

Cash waiting, thanks :)

I like your thinking!

Trouble is the labour rates involved and the fact that most gearboxes I've known that have been rebuilt don't last very long either. Locally I've yet to hear of a gearbox specialist with a decent reputation. :(

Polo 16v's gearboxes

May seem a silly question but is there anybody with a Polo 16v (or GTI) who has had it a while NOT had a gearbox problem? Been thinking about getting a mk4 Polo to replace my sick mk3 GT and am a little concerened about the gearbox problems I keep reading about. Do they always break? I don't want to...

SEAT, Skoda and Audi do smaller nut covers that just look like black or grey nuts. Good quality and don't fall off, less than 50p each including VAT from respective dealerships.

Is this the same Kenny who always said 16'' wheels looked the best? LOL
I reckon the new rims look smart though. :D

Anybody breaking a mk3?

Bit of a long shot maybe but I need an offside bonnet hinge for a mk3 Polo urgently.
May need some other bits too.

Failing this does anybody know of a decent breakers yard with a mk3 in?

Thanks :)

That intercooler looks mean Jeff. Almost seems a shame to put the bumper back on.
The original one just looks so weedy and small in comparison, not wonder the temps dropped so much.

Oh and @ Sershen, I'm guessing it's a SEAT Ibiza brace (as they come in red).

The wheels will fit okay but the tyres will need changing.
