Re: Help diagnosing anti roll bar problem.
I had this exact issue and numpty here didn't think to check this forum. Since installing the new bushes the mechanic is adamant it isn't moving and won't move. To be fair I marked where it was rubbing (same as this post) as well as the bar itself and nothing has moved ... but I was convinced these ...

Re: Offside dipped headlight bulb replacement
There's a trick to this that's honestly brilliant. Get the coolant bottle and free it from it's mount, you can now stick your arm down the wing and into the back of the headlamp easily!

Both front wheel bearings?!
Okay so bear with me on this one, 130k 1.9tdi pd100. I've got most of a fish, fairly well maintained before I got it and I've done my best to keep it up. my passenger front makes a wubwubwubwub noise (speeds up and down relatively to the speed of the vehicle not revs). I'd been trying to figure out ...

Re: Need Urgent Help - Passenger Side Window
Checkthe wiring harness where it passes from the door to the cab and look for continuity from there to see if you have a bad earth or short? Do the speakers on that door function okay and does the locking (remote/central) function well too? What about heated wing mirror?

2004 5dr 9n 1.9tdi. Long story short having to replace my driver's side thanks to an idiot in an Audi Now I got the replacement in primer, gonna paint myself for some entertainment. The replacement looks identical, roughly looks the right fit but physically will not fit(plastic tabs preventing fitti...

Re: Yes, another cooling fans thread
I've sleuthed through hundreds of posts (pd100 cars and 99-07 vag models) all reporting similar or same symptoms but not a single one ever gives a good starting point, I was hoping for a bit of direction before I started! Also, lots of different causes from bad wires, grounds, sensors, bushes and re...

Yes, another cooling fans thread
POLO 9N 04 92K Miles 1.9TDI :D I noticed yesterday my cooling fans (both) do not operate under anycircumstance. (Engine to temp, key in ignition with cabin fans on etc) Earlier this year I had to swap out the ECT as it was misreporting engine temps, but I didn't know if the fans were working prior t...

Re: 1.2 Twist coolant temp sensor connector
I have read the sensors fail and can leak from the brass into the plug and down the wiring. I'd be looking at maybe a new sensor and plug? Can you take the plug off and confirm if the pins are corroded at all?

P0117 and then some..(coolant sensor or more?)
:!: So my coolant sensor has started misbehaving, or so I am lead to believe from my google-fu. Just wanted some advice! yesterday I noticed my engine temp needle wasn't moving and after I restarted the car (15min journey) I get a check-engine light with the p0117 (coolant temp sensor low input iirc...

Rear fog dash/wiring
As with my other post, I mentioned an issue I have with the new(to me) 04 1.9 TDI polo I have! Dashboard rear fog light comes on with side and main beams. Now this is just the dash light, the fog light on rear only comes on when pulled out(as it should) .Took switch out and found some interesting wi...

Re: Leak in Passenger Footwell
It's figuring out what's feeding that bung hole (heh heh). I know 9n's are known for s**t door rubbers so perhaps it isn't leaking from the front but rather the side. It's hard obviously to see where the water is filling from. Anyone got any idea what else may allow water through that pillar?
