I haven't managed to find anything shorter than 53mm for the front so far. I don't have a part number for the WRC version though.

Re: Polo 6C lowering setup
Did you fit shorter bump stops to go with the lowered springs? If not you may not have very much travel before hitting the stops which will make the ride firmer than it should be. I fitted GTI bumps stops alround on my son's car and it still wasn't great. I now have Ibiza Cupra bumps stops on the r...

These are the ones which I purchased earlier this year for my son's 62 plate Polo Match;

Re: Slow opening boot
I bought a set of Stabilus struts either from eBay or AutoDoc and I think that the pair came in at under £30.
The are OE for various manufacturers, possibly including VW, but definitely on Porsche.

Cluster swap
I've got a Polo 6R 1.2TDI and would like to fit a Toledo cluster to it to get a temperature gauge amongst other things. Is there anywhere in the North East of the UK that can do the coding for this? I had someone lined up, but he has been busy for the last 12months, so I need to find someone else, i...

Re: Airbag Removal
Yeah you got the nastier of the two airbags. The key is to get a really really thin flat headed screwdriver. Wedge it inbetween, like properly inbetween. And pull really hard on the airbag. It's a bit-ch and the airbag I hate most when doing retrofits. Just my luck! Thanks for the advice. I'll have...

Airbag Removal
I've been trying to get the airbag of the steering wheel in my son's 62 plate Polo Match and it doesn't seem to want to come out. I've seen the videos online about removing the trim on top of the steering column and then using a mirror to view the clips holding it in. I have used a screwdriver to pu...

Might have been better off trying to find a genuine 2nd hand wing in the right colour?

Re: No reverse or fog lights on new LED tail-lights
Did you buy them from Trade-Vehicle-Parts on eBay? They only give you a warranty for 30 days, bit surprising for "insurance approved"parts, and won't budge on that. I bought a set of tail lights from them and the reflector on one side has faded and is now a kind of pinky orange after 11 mo...

I looked at doing this but saw the second hand prices and changed my mind. Here is one side on eBay, they have the other side too;

Re: 2013 Bluemotion Polo Muffler "Outer" Rusted Off
Ours half rusted off and I clamped it back on with some really long Jubilee clips. As others have said, it's just an outer skin so nothing to worry about. My Mum's 2004 Fabia exhaust went like this too and I did the same with the Jubilee clips. It's still going on it's original exhaust and has no le...

Re: Taped Joins In Dashboard Harness??
The headlights stay on when the switch is off because of the daytime running lights.
Do they go off when you turn the side lights on?
If so this is normal.

Re: Front Cup Holder Light Burnt Out?
Would something like this do in place of the special tool? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/264505981237?hash=item3d95c8f935:g:FCoAAOSw74RdrYkV I'd doubt it very much, the proper tool looks like it jacks the power socket up and out. True, but it's only pushed into plastic. The sink plug, or similar, just...
