Re: anyone tried LED interior replacement lamps?

@grazuncle2 Yes it is the same for Polo, VW group share alot of common things among the models. The trunk light and makeup light is pretty simple just place some plastic tool behind and pop it out gently. You can Youtube that one too, if you are unsure. Tons of VW Golf videos that share the same lamp.

Re: anyone tried LED interior replacement lamps?

Any LED w5w(interior light) and feston 37mm(makeup light) socket will work. No need for canbus in interior lamps, except in the trunk. Same in my old car. I bought a ton of different canbus w5w for the trunk that had glitchy connection, before replacing it with "WinPower Car Footwell Lighting f...

Re: Handbrake release button rattle

Is there a general VW godwill policy on this handbrake button rattle? My car is out of warranty. I had mine Polo AW 2018 for almost 2 years now and the handbrake button rattle is the only ocassionaly dashboard noise I hear. I guess I will check with the dealer next time I have it in service in 7-8mo...

Is the manual reverse gear suppose to hold gas?

Hello, I noticed something that I thought was a bit strange. I have a Manual gear box Polo AW -2018 with the radar, ACC. I know that the car automatically hold gas when moving forward without me putting the fot on the gas on low speed. But today I noticed that it also hold the gas (me not touching t...

Re: Polo reliability and the latest What Car report

Well my Polo -18 that I bought used had issue with the gearbox (reverse synchron ring worn). Got it swapped on warranty to a used one.I feel like the swapped gearbox is having the tendancy to the same issue sometimes. So now I just wait like 1-2 extra second before putting gear in reverse. Will chec...

It looks like standard interior car clips you find everywhere on car and bike. Where you either push or screw the plug in so the back expand.

Re: Grinding noise when i press the clutch in cold weather sometimes

*Update* Turned the car in for check. Turns out it was the front brake disc that cause this noise. Now equipped with new front brake disc and brakes it very quiet again :D . Did cost me a a bit though  . They also found a loose air filter intake and a very worn stabilizing rod on the front, so...

Grinding noise when i press the clutch in cold weather sometimes

So I recently started to hear this scratching noise when I move away in 1st gear in cold weather (around 0 celsius). When its around 7+ celsius I kind of cant rememeber hearing it more than very rarely) *When I start to move the car gently after stop and the clutch is half way released on gear 1. I ...

It shows your engine hood is open, probably not closed properly. Open the hood and close it.

Re: What did you and your Polo do today?

Installed front hood struts,
replaced the windshield wiper cap with the smarter Skoda "000 096 706" (3€) cap with built in funnel,
and superquick carwash (pre wash foam and high pressure).

Re: Recommend interior Trunk LED?

Ok a small update after 6months. The Led started turn on/off sometimes. Everytime I hit the trunk interior or hit the led it would turn on/off. It was like this also 6months ago when I installed it but I guess the connection was not 100%. The issue is most likely the original lamp holder pins are no...

Re: Changing into reverse take 3 second (manual)?

Ok got my gearbox changed, and now I can put in the reverse immediately after stopping. Thank you forum people for the support. Would have thought this issue was normal and had issue with it later without warranty, if I didnt check here. Hopefully this gearbox will last longer. Cost of the gearbox c...
