Re: Pauls Polo 6R Trendline conversion road to OEM++
Concerning the start-stop-button I still haven't found the solution. Start-Stop itself is working on the other hand, so I might just procrastinate on that problem a little bit. For the technical inspection it just has to work at all. Wrong. I couldn't leave it alone. And it turns out I'm an idiot. ...

Re: Pauls Polo 6R Trendline conversion road to OEM++
A few days later, and nothing changed. Well, that's not completely true. I fixed a knocking in the steering assembly (it turned out we forgot to tighten the nuts of the tie rod ends... whoops  ), also I installed the underbody covers and fiddled a bit with the exhaust, so that it doesn't touch ...

Re: Pauls Polo 6R Trendline conversion road to OEM++
Well, looks very much like a waste of time it was... Since I fiddled around with the ABS coding a little bit, start-stop miraculously started working. Funny enough however: My deactivation button does not work. As pointed out in one of my previous posts, the wiring diagram is just wrong concerning t...

Re: Pauls Polo 6R Trendline conversion road to OEM++
You are absolutely right, thanks for reminding me! Now one of the only remaining things to rectify before I can bring my car to its technical inspection is to get the start-stop system working. As of now, everytime I start the car, the instrument cluster tells me "Fault: Start-Stop"....

Re: Pauls Polo 6R Trendline conversion road to OEM++
Also, there are some faults I cannot make sense of, so I hope you all can: 1. When the engine is running (and only then) I have the following fault codes (please excuse my use of OBD11, my VCDS-laptop is broken-ish): P11AB00 - Cam Shift Actuator "B" Cylinder 3 Circuit/Open static P11A700 ...

Re: Pauls Polo 6R Trendline conversion road to OEM++
Thanks! That has got to be it! Sadly, there are no labels in VCDS for the adaption channels, so I just guessed and changed the following: Ch 1: 0 -> 1 Ch 2: 0 -> 1 (I installed one of these coombined rain and moisture sensors ages ago together with my high beam assist conversion) Ch 3: 1 -> 0 Ch 4: ...

Re: Pauls Polo 6R Trendline conversion road to OEM++
Update number 29401ß0348? It runs! And pretty good actually! I am absolutely over the moon and have a massive smile on my face since the time I twisted the keys. :D Now the annoying bits: Ironing out all the little remaining faults: - Basic setting of the steering angle sensor. I had this problem so...

Re: Pauls Polo 6R Trendline conversion road to OEM++
Ladies and gentlemen! I got a big step closer to finishing my endless engine swap project. Since Monday, I have (most of) the engine in my car. The back axle also got changed and the brakes are done. Now there are only a few things left to add and then it's time to try. :D I will post some pictures ...

Re: Pauls Polo 6R Trendline conversion road to OEM++
The old engine is out! On that occasion I also removed the exhaust and some other bits and bobs. The transmission remains in place for now, since otherwise I fear my front wheels might fall off on the way to the workshop. 20240316_161002.jpg Now it's time for the remaining wiring works, then preppi...

Re: Pauls Polo 6R Trendline conversion road to OEM++
Hi all together, here is a little update about the progress of my engine swap project. The interior electrics are finished. It included (but wasn't limited to): Rewiring of the fuel pump Adding of a voltage stabilizer underneath the driver's seat Rewiring of almost the entire relay board Adding of a...

Re: Pauls Polo 6R Trendline conversion road to OEM++
Does any of you know what is the difference between
6R0500051B and
6R0500051C ?
The PR Code ...C just says "Design 2", so does it just look better? Or is it somewhat different?
I really don't want to swap it if I can avoid it...

Re: Pauls Polo 6R Trendline conversion road to OEM++
So, I discovered a few new problems: The fan wiring is completely different to my existing wiring and doesn't require a control module anymore. Also the temperature sensor at the radiator exit is different to all the Polos I know. It isn't the double switch with the T3 plug, it's an actual sensor wi...
