The only thing i was thinking is it seems like hes tryina justify asking that price because its apparently got all this stuff on it, which most of is jus standard cl stuff. If its mot'd and taxed id say £650 ish. Thats just me like but like adam said the only way id pay that much was if it was a GT...

The guys emailed me back about these wheels. Hes quoted $65 per wheel, so thats like what £30 quid each (ish). Thats for 4 x100 fitting that are 7inches wide. Jus gettin a quote for how much it will be for shipping now ill keep ya posted.

And someone correct me if im wrong here, but arn't the lights and grill from the g40 exactly the same except for the badge on the grill, which from what i can tell aint there. Also g40 bumpers have a red stripe running round them right? Maybe hes blacked it i guess...

Yeah will do ive jus emailed the guy findin' out whether he ships to the uk etc, but his company is called custom steel wheels so im assumin he'll make them to any spec, ill keep ya posted

hmm i see, ive found a company that i think make steel wheels from scratch, and make custom ones. Im assuming if i got steel ones made which were wider than average this would be legal? thanks chaps

Alright mate, if your after the low insurance then a 1.0 or 1.3 cl coupe will be ur best bet. Try an find one where the head gaskets been done if possible, mine went the day i got it Mot'd at 92000 miles. Sounds like CV joint to me that mate. They aint too hard to do though to be honest.

Cheers, the reason was i was gonna jus get a cl bottom end (common as hell) an get one of ur flowed heads. Ill av to source a gt engine then i thinks :S lol thanks again

I was wondering whether it was possible to use a 1.3 cl bottom end and a GT head. How much difference is there between the GT and cl bottom ends and what about looms etc, how different are they, Thanks in advance
