you put the axle stand in the same place you would jack the car up from and the sills for jacking and standing iver that or your could put an axle stand on the rear of the subframe.

if the bootm rad hose is cold then the thremostat is blocked I know you've said they've changed it but for that to happen the it's realy the stat is inop.

on early cars like the mk1 golf mk2's etc insted of having a brake compensator they have resickting valves to do the same job still people put these in with a compensator and the car wont pass an mot as the rear brake dont realy work. if your only using two channles (front speaker wires) the secondary speakers you've fitted will be weaker as they dont have the nessary current to feed them you have to have different speakers on dierent channels other wise the first in the circut line will get more.

good idea iv done it myself you'll need the rear hubs of a mk5 6N2 GTi discs pads and calpiars + carriers and the flexi pipe and the metal brake pipes2, and all it is then is unbolt all of yours and replace with the gti kit you have a rear companstor so do not use restricing valves!! if you need any...
