Re: Battery light on dashboard

You need to replace it as soon as possible. The battery will discharge very quickly otherwise with the engine running

This belt also drives the air con if fitted and power steering pump

A new belt is about £20 plus 10-15 mins to fit it

Re: polo 2007 brake shoe adjustment

They are self adjusting. You may need to reset the mechanism as it doesn't sound like it's taking up the slack properly. Have you got a Haynes manual?

Right, we are edging closer to stickers. Ive got some in test print at the moment

We are looking at doing an internal and an external sticker, both in white vinyl (laser cut)

Please vote in the poll for what you would be interested in

Re: Polo 1.6 gti cylinder head

It's not advisable. The power gains aren't worth it as the displacement will be off

It's better to use an entire GTI lump or just go buy a GTI

The 1.4 75bhp and 1.6 125bhp lumps also have a fair few mechanical differences. VVT for a start which the 1.4 loom and ECU isn't wired for

Re: Mk5 Golf Edition 30

Its a ceramic polymer polish that forms a 'skin' over the pain making it more resilient to fallout, acid damage, rain, light scratches etc.

Thats a shame. You did your best! The 6N2s are great little cars, especially for a first.

Re: battery drain ???

If you replace, the part number must be identical. There's a lot of different variants and they aren't interchangeable

Re: '03 Polo 1.4. Upgrade to a later stock audio head unit?

The double din later units won't work in your polo as the early 9n models have ISO connectors instead of the later more modern quadlock

Re: Issues with start and idle

Welcome!

It sounds like the carb is letting no air through for idle.

Pierberg is a common issue on all of these polos

I would suggest signing up on polo3.co.uk as youll get a better response on there (sadly theres no many mk3 owners left on here now)
