Re: RCD310 to RCD510

Yes but it might need some VCDS coding

Re: 1.4 petrol '02 reg limping then dead, need relay info/wiring?

Relay 13 is a different relay - not 404 anyway.

It would suggest this is computer related rather than physical electrics

Can you post an autoscan up?

The gear shift cables can also chafe on the exhaust heat shield where they come out of the tunnel towards the gearbox

The heater matrix may not be opening fully

Ok, so on this engine, thats the Fuel Supply Relay (it should be position 12 which is three along from the left on the bottom row)

Ive put a link to the wiring for this relay and associated parts below

Re: Help please

Have you tried replacing the fuel filter?

Check all the fuses as a blown fuse can cause the diagnostics not to connect

Re: 1.4 petrol '02 reg limping then dead, need relay info/wiring?

Earth is pin 1 or pin 2 on the relay itself

Image

It uses a common earth which all other electrics on the fuse board will use

404 is normally a wiper relay, fuel relay or air con

Re: ARC/AVY bottom end with AHW head

I would say the cylinders will be too big in the bottom block for an AHW head and the displacement will be well off Needless to say they are quite different with their construction. The ARC and AVY are aluminium blocks not cast iron like the AHW I think this will be a bit of a difficult hybrid Peopl...
