Re: remap...
Do what I did....
I fitted a fmic, 63mm turboback, pd160 intake and a pd160 TURBO.....Mine is mapped perfectly now and am quicker than my mates mapped pd130. He got 115kw I got 125kw out of a pd100!

Re: tdi vs gti
You sure your car was stock
I could see by the way the cupra smokes that it wasn't stock.
The run you had with the cupra, it looked the same when I had a run with a stock golf 6 gti dsg.

Re: tdi vs gti
will be fitting my new 3bar sensor on monday! Bought some stainless steel bends aswell to weld together and make up new better flowing boost pipes! Ran some logs today, everything is working 100%. My intake temps are 30*c, that's very good considering ambient temps were 28*c. My mates polo gti with ...

Re: tdi vs gti

Re: tdi vs gti
The 1749vb does have a bit more lag than the 1749va would have. The vnt15 didn't really have lag it was a really punchy turbo, had some good boost but would run out of puff. The 1749vb has a larger compressor wheel, I found that I gain HP more easily with the VB. If you have some supporting mods to ...

Re: tdi vs gti
You might not necessarily need to get the map re-done, just really needs a single parameter altering. I'm not surprised you blew a 1749V with 2 ba r, I don't think they're good for much over 1.5 bar  Reagarding your friends' cars, whilst there have been no issues as such, I reckon it's more do...

Re: My Polo 1.9Tdi PD130 6 Speed *Polo GTI SEATS!!!*
The cupra lower controlarm bushes at the front fit, lots of us over here are running them! 400nm destroyed my 2nd set of normal webbed polo ones.

Re: tdi vs gti
Regarding the MAP sensor, if you just swap it out for a 3 bar one, the ECU will need to be recalibrated to work with it, else it'll go into limp mode. Any good tuner should be able to sort this out for you. Any idea what max boost pressure the VB is good till? I know someone who was running 24 psi,...

Re: tdi vs gti
I'd like to get hold of a cupra or pd130 head and just bolt that on, it does come with the injectors! Clutch is a problem yes, not sure what setup to go for though! PD100 has a 228mm dualmass flywheel clutch. Aparently one can fit a Golf3 VR6 clutch and an ABF flywheel. This would be a very strong c...

Re: tdi vs gti
Does it really matter? At the end of the day there's always going to be something faster / better out there. There's no point comparing apples to oranges. A remapped 9n3 GTi would kill a remapped PD100. Ash I have a vnt1749vb (cupra turbo), fmic, pd160, bmc filter, 63mm turboback exhaust. I lined u...

Re: my 1.9tdi from SOUTH AFRICA
Since posting that dynograph a few things have changed. I blew the pd100 turbo and upgraded to a vnt1749vb turbo, which is a garrett turbo found in the ibiza cupra tdi or the golf 5 2.0 tdi. The car makes the same power round about, sitting on 120kw 400nm now. This is a carbon console I had made. ht...

Re: 9N3 FRONT ON A 9N
I personally dont see any point of changing the front of a 9N to a 9N3  If you really want a 9N3 better to save money and buy one! But again thats my personal opinion ;) Totally agree with u fella, but i guess some people like project work! :D It is a tad more affordable to keep your car and ...

Re: 9N3 FRONT ON A 9N
Ruan with that much power are you still using your standard clutch? Yeah standard clutch and injectors everything! I loaded a 2bar map on the vnt15 and made 118kw 434nm out of a pd100 turbo, BUT it blew after going at an insane speed behind a opel corsa OPC. Then fitted the cupra turbo and loaded a...
