Sorry to hear about the crash mate. I was involved in a crash a few weeks ago, when a woman rear ended me at an island and drove off (without me able to get her plates). My previous car (a Saxo VTR) was declared a write off. My insurance (More Than) paid me out and didn’t take away any of my no cl...

Well the light has strangely turned itself off now.

After spending most my day at work searching the forums about the issue, I think I'm going to try and use V-Power, to see if it makes any difference.

Fingers crossed it stays off.

Exhaust Emissions Warning Light

Had this light come on last night, after driving around most of the day. Car seems to drive/sound fine, so I'm not quite sure there is a problem. I did a search and came across a thread saying I should be filling up with 98 RON petrol - oops, didn't know that. Could this be the cause or is it someth...

Well I've left the sensor unplugged and had no problems. Added a jubilee clip to the washer pipe like people have recommended. Had the neighbours come round last night and tell me that the alarm kept going off the night before...ooops. Doesn't go off now the sensor is unplugged. Only problem n...

Boot open warning light/leaking rear washer

This morning as I was driving to work I had the boot open warning light appear on the dash of my GTI. Got out, opened and closed the boot, still the same. Searched on here while I was at work and found a few threads with the same problem. Parked at home after work and as I ran in to get a torx screw...

Noobie in need of assistance

Hey guys. Just put a deposit on a 2000 Polo GTI. Previously had a Saxo VTR, and I just have a few questions about the GTI before I go ahead and pay the rest of the money. I found the clutch quite hard (compared to my Saxo and my Punto - current rental car), just wondered if this was normal? Also fou...
