Re: Help! - Air Box / Hose - Strange Noise / Vibration
Original airbox is a hard item to source these days, it might be worth switching to a BMC CDA Carbon airbox because they sound very nice and don't rattle at all.

Re: Clap's vRS: Remap!
Nice one Jack 8) might & day difference between a standard & mapped vRS, PD130 engine responds really well to a stage 1 Shame about the boost pipe issues but i'm sure you can get that resolved fairly easily. While your fiddling with the boost pipes it might be worth fitting a cheeky boost ga...

Re: Brads Progress thread
Yeh man it's been tough but I'm there now just waiting for the misses savings to catch up. I'd probably be looking at a 2.0 Turbo S Line they're 200bhp standard like the Golf GTI or similar year.If i were to do anything to it which i know i'll have to haha i keep it similar to the polo. Glad the ci...

Re: Brads Progress thread
Sounds good Bradley :) you are doing the sensible thing of saving for a mortgage, wish I could say the same. I do like the Audi A3's, good solid cars with brilliant interiors and all the gadgets you could ask for. The S Line version is pretty pokey too, especially the 1.8 TSFI :) Civic is going well...

Re: Engine swap
Alex is right you could easily spend 3-4K and that's doing it relatively cheap, places like JBS Auto Designs charge 6-8K for a 1.8T conversion That does include the engine however but either way its going to be costly. Eaton charger would be your best bet as Alex suggested (very popular with the Lup...

Re: Clap's vRS: Brembo!
Very Nice Jack Brembo's look boss!
Let us know how you get on with the Re-map
Stage 1 it should pull anything between 260-275bhp and 280-300lbs ft of torque
I would ask Shark to ensure it stays below 300 lbs ft because that's the limit of the OEM Clutch & Flywheel

Re: Engine swap
Im Just looking for some info on it or what you need to do to fit engine and things like that. Or is there anything other conversions that can be done with not to much messing around? Unfortunately not mate, your best bet would be slapping a supercharger on the 1.6 lump and running it at low psi (1...

Re: " Models Based on the Polo Platform..."
Attention to detail is better on the higher spec cars but that is reflected in the price For example you now have the Audi A1, Polo GTI, Ibiza Cupra & Fabia vRS which are all essentially the same car Difficult to say which one is better than another because they have the same running gear & ...

Re: Making money with Supercars- R8 and a GTR...
People generally abuse Rental cars too (who wouldn't?) so the cost of maintenance on two high performance motors would be very expensive. You would be better trying the chauffeur market for weddings, parties etc because you can still charge good money. If you have got 75K to burn on cars though chan...

Re: Massively Overpriced GTI
That would have been massively over priced in 2007 I paid 2K less for mine back in 2008 with 50K miles
Some dealers just don't live in the real world, I bet you can get a 56/07 plate 9N3 GTI with that mileage for the same price
