Re: 9n3 Standard Engine / Turbo Code
I've read that the S is technically not correct, there are many versions of the K03's for various 1.8T's. I believe there are 2 versions across the various 9n3 years.

Re: Fitment And Offset Guys Get In Here
8" can work, 8.5" is getting a little tricky. Very possible, but getting harder, need smaller tyres, etc. Those offsets seem too low, I'm running 8's with a 38 offset, you could go lower if you're willing to poke / stretch. If you're looking for a daily fitment that wont rub and you can go...

yes, 08 (05-10 years)
Looks good, a little pricey, but there won't be a huge demand. less chance of a boost leak with the hard pipes.

Few of us down in Oz have these, I upgraded my Forge ally one for the UR design. a little weighty, but very solid. Worth the $$$ IMO.

A few of us in Australia have had success with the Redline MTL or MT-90 gearbox oils.

Re: Uprating brakes... Advice Needed !!
should be fine.
you need to rotate the rear pistons to push them back in if you didn't already know. Otherwise, its all pretty basic other than trying to remove the original parts which might need some persuasion...

Re: Confused about offset
There are a number of things going on. The offset is relative to the rim width, see the offset calculator on 1010tires which is quite good at comparing rims. As for clearance, this is wheel specific, there is no relative measurement between offset and clearance, testing is the best way. 30 offset wi...

Quattro rears dont fit, even with adaptors (I learned the hard way).

Re: Wheel Fitment
Depends. I'm running KW coilovers, no pertch in the back and cut-down bump stops. I run Enkei's in 8" with a spacer making the offset 37. This sits fairly agressively but not poking. The rear will rub over bumps, with passeners in the back or gear in the boot. Depends more on the tyre than rim ...

Re: Polo gti stage 1 to stage 2
What brand of tune? IMO, you would be best of getting a FMIC to deal with the huge heat the little turbo produces, then stage 2 if the power difference justifies. I went from APR stage 1 to CC stage 2, I think the improvement in torque was as much due to the torque'y-ness of CC over the placid APR t...

Re: inline fuel pump
for stock turbo, not required. with a BT, its best to upgrade the fuel pump in the fuel tank (as its already old and you don't want to have that fail later).
if its for a normal chip-tune, I'd be worried that they don't know what they're doing, there are plenty who do.

Re: apr remap
Have a read, could look on VWWatercooled as well. Many people have tunes, I moved from APR to Custom Code to better suit my mods and wanting more torque
Many options, most seem pretty similar between APR, CC, Giac and another few major brands.

Re: Polo gti 20vt boost problems HELP!!
Could be the tune, N75, sensor, valve, etc. Are you feeling it? The small K03 will only push hard up to 5k rpm, but what you describe is more of a ongoing fluctuation. You might be best taking it to someone, find someone to help you log it (VAGCOM, etc) or finding someone with a Polo that you can sw...
