Don't cut coils, it's no good. (See my sig)

Rather, get some decent springs + shocks and you'll never look back.

Cool to hear you're still driving those Polos David. Every time I drive mine I smile - I guess I don't drive it often enough.

Connie and me will try to come to England again this year, hope to see you too.

I never bothered and just replaced the whole lever with another one, came off a Mk3 Golf GTI. Leather and all, quite nice. The Mk3.5 cabbie Golf has a chrome button - quite rare. Still fancy that.

Ideally you'll want 195-45-15 tyres. Quite like the wheels!

But, you want the correct size... may as well get the 195-40's right away.

If it doesn't say 6N on the box, I wouldn't bother. Best get a set that works the first time, saves you hassle.

See the sticky thread above, there's a video on page two that'll show you what the problem *might* be.

The tyres are *way* too wide. Even without lowering. It'll handle like a pig.

Sell the 215's or get the proper size rightaway. You'll need 195-40-16's.

Hi Luke and welcome to the site. I am pretty sure that fitting an aftermarket exhaust and a proper quality filter will not damage the engine. It *may* wear somewhat faster (as the filter won't filter out as much dirt as the OE part will, but I doubt that you'd know the difference. I didn't bother wi...

It's a straight swap from rear to front. I've had them on for about three years already. No regrets. Takes 2 minutes max. If all else fails, you can get into the car through the boot (never needed to btw :-) )

185-45-15 does not exist, your best bet is 195-45-15.

Either 6 or 6,5 inch will work btw.
