That's actually quite strange, because I but my K&N that was meant for a 1.4, onto my 1.8T, my new Polo GTi and, same as yourself, put it straight onto the MAF and you are so right! It sounds great!! Really addictive whoosh sound! I was thinking about putting a 90 degree bend on, do you feel it'...

I am from West Wales and your advice on not going for a panel filter has helped me decide against it I think, especially when I know what a Cone filter can sound like!

hi buddy i was looking into an same thing had a pipercross cone filter at home told i couldnt fit it due to it sucking warm air or somthing i needs a direct cold air feed i beleive then k&n typhoon runs down to back of the front bumper witch is fine as its getting a direct cold air feed whitch ...

Ah! I have just changed to the GTi from my 1.4 which is why I had a spare one, did you give any consideration to a K&N panel filter?

What engine is it for? I have that exact one I don't use any more if it's for a 1.4?
