door card removal - 6n

door card removal - 6n

basic question i know but is there a specific way of taking off the door cards or do they just pop off?

all you gotta do is flip the cover on the interior door hadle off, do this with a flathead screwdriver or sumthin, then undo the two screws hidden behind the cover and then the card is basically held on by clips and the card should come off with a small amount of force. hope this helps!

door card is the plastic trim on the inside of the door. i.e the bit on the door which makes up the interior! :wink:

is this the same with the 6n2? i had the handle off plus the 2 screws earlier n the card still wasnt goin anywhere!!

i stick a screw driver near the top untill a pop then in the middle untill a pop then at the end untill a pop :o

right ive done this 5 times this week replacing my window mech so im gettin good.

flip off the grab handle cover and undo the 2 screws

then take a screwdriver to the winder handle,place it behind the handle and slide the trim ring up from it, youll see what i mean, this will then pull off.
then get a large flat blade or pry bar and insert under the edge below the pocket and pull CAREFULLY
then the rest will pop off

Is this the same for the back doors? Just tried to get them off and I got the screws undone but couldnt get any further

I did a guide for the front somewhere on here. Never got to finish the guide for the rears. For a 5 door that is. Had a few problems with it.

Thanks, would be really helpful as Ive got some speakers to go in if I can get the doors off!
