how to: tweeter builds

Post by editiononeg60 »

based on mk2 golf but could be adapted to any car

Here goes

First you need to decide where to place your tweeters

Image

Then fix into place with a dab of fibreglass/resin

Image

Next lay over a sheet of fibreglass matting and paint with resin, leave to dry. i also use fibreglass tissue.

Image

Trim off excess fibreglass

Cover with bodyfiller

Next smooth down with 80 grit wet and dry to a rough shape

Image

Add some more filler, less this time, and smooth down with 240 grit wet and dry

Image

repeat last step but using 800 grit wet and dry, i did this twice the last time i smoothed usibg the paper WET

Image

Now apply a mist layer of primer, leave to flash, keep applying light layers until its completely covered

Image Image

your now ready to apply your colour of your choice

tweeter pods done
