Got one of these r click kitsthey are secod to none but most be you wouldn't be able to use the key for due to the transponder chip in the original keys for the immobilisers. Can be cut out but I just fins that a bit daunting last thing I want is immobiliser problems

The immobiliser is in the car the transponder is a chip that overrides is and that's in the key, I have this same kit installed with a transponder in it but vw were unable to code it to the car, another company can do it flashing the transponder forcing it to learn and talk to my immobiliser but they want £80 and that's not an option right now. So stuck using 2 keys not to unlock and one to start it.

But if your gonna do that you may as well just have the rclick key as a fob and use your normal key to start the car ?.

yeah but you wont look like a gangster walking to your car then pushing the button and the key flicks out then unlock your car with it

You can still unlock the car with the bleeper. The only thing that car won't do is start the engine because of the transponder chip in the key not working with the ignition barrel. It can be done I just wouldn't bother forget the key and just get a fob kit

Apparently and I have no concrete evidence for this but... There is a system like vag com but slightly different that once plugged in to the car is capable of coding keys as long as you have a compatible transponder which can be picked up for a few quid from tinternet my flat mate knows what its called so il find out and let you all know the only down side being is that to do so it would talk to your immobiliser and if it didn't work it has the possibility to potentially wipe the working codes from your current transponders leaving you with no working keys and a car that won't start, I've had that once it's not fun and a pain in the ass to get towed to vw to get them to recode the keys... (expensive too)

So now the question is is it all worth the hassle

Total cost of the keys and accessories would be,

£30 for the click device free instillation as it's easy as hell,

£10 to get the blade grove cut so the blade actually fits your ignition barrel,

£4.99 for the transponder il provide a link later as I can't remember where I got it from,

Probably £30 for the lead off eBay to plug the car in and a 'legal' cracked download of the software to code the key to the immobiliser...
