Tickover too low...

Post by PJH »

Alright guys, every now and again my 1.2 9n3 Polo's tickover drops to around 700 RPM and is really 'lumpy' when doing so...I have checked the plugs and they are fine. Any other ideas?

I have a 1.4 mpi 6n2 and just this weekend solved this problem, Grab yourself some throttle body cleaner (about £5) and spray directly into the throttle body whilst revving the car at about 3500 rpm to avoid the engine choking.
Since this my cars started straight away with no lumpyness.
