I use autoglym personally they are various brand like poor boys, meguiars, etc. you might want to go to detailing world to check out all sorts of combination you could do and there are some pretty neat polo examples there to.

To let you have an idea how to detail your car, let me explain ( I'm an amateur)

First there is a pre-wash stage
1. Rinse your car
2. Shampoo your car, snow foaming If you have a pressure washer with attachment
3. Rinse your car again.
4. You can dry your car or straight to next step
5. Clay the whole car, you use something called a clay bar to remove all the containmenents to make your paintwork smooth
6.wipe away excess all the lubricants
7. Polish your whole car
8. You can polish again or go over to liquid wax or something
9. Put a layer of hard wax, sealant or even both.
10. Don't forget you need to clean the tires alloy windows etc with relate products.
The whole process take me 3-4 hours to do it

Hope it helps!
