Rclick problem

Post by globalomega »

Help a noob.

How to get wires together, should i take them out and cut them open, or i just stick new wire beside in the clip.

Also there is two white and yellow use i get either of them?
On the RCL unit,

Connect yellow to RED and yellow/black to RED (just join them in on seperate Red clips)
I don't get that. Do you connect RCL wires to themselfs?

You should be using splice/scotch lock connectors to tag the RClick wires onto the existing loom. Take some of the loom tape off to get to more cable

both yellow and yellow/black need to be connected to the RED wire on the car loom

RCLICK White to CAR white/green
RCLICK White/black to CAR white/yellow

White/yellow means a white wire, with a yellow tracer line

Did wiring as in guide, but it's not working. All i hear is clicking from the RCL when i lock and unlock, but the pump is not reacting.

RCL red to pump red with white strip.
RCL black to pump brown.
RCL white to pump white with green stripe.
RCL white with black stripe to pump white with yellow stripe.
RCL yellow and yellow with black stripe to pump red. Both to the same wire.
So i am left on RCL with brown that splits in two, but i figure thosw will be for lights. Pink one, red with black stripe and two orange, one orange is with black stirpe.

On a pump i am left with extra red and white, brown, yellow with stripe and black one.

Also i didnt use the small six pin connectors. What are they for?

I would check the wire splices on the white and white/black wires have properly connected, as if not firmly pressed into place, sometimes they dont make a good connection

I assume you have tried unlocking the car then pressing unlock on the key to see if it locks (to test for circuitry being wrong)

The spare wires I cant say what they are for - did you get a wiring diagram with the kit? If you could post a pic up of it, that'd be helpful.

Also, the small six pin connectors - they are probably for jumpers to configure the kit for other things. I think the kit boxes have changed a little over time.

white and white/black are firmly attached.

Yea i tried, locking with key and then unlocking with the remote and vice versa but no luck. Also i connected to brown wire to a signal and the light is working. It's flashing when i lock/unlock with the remote, but still doors won't unlock/lock.

And here's the diagram.

I'm curious about the six pin connector, cause there is a blue wire and diagram it says it's a door triger?

The other connector gives additional functionality - you don't need it for basic operation.

If you can hear the relay clicking that should mean it's working

Does the central locking work ok via the switch on the door panel?

RCL is clicking and i can lock/unlock doors from the door panel.

I guess i will try to reconnect white, white/black wires and maybe the ones going to red pump wire?

It does sound like you have a problem in the wiring somehow

I would check all the cables, especially the yellow ones.

Checking through diagrams. There are different types, how to know which one i have?

Some type here like (single point CL) say: orange to ground and yellow to v12

This is frustrating... should i just go to service and hope they can fit it for me :/
