Rear Brakes/Handbrake

Post by jackcsikay1 »

I do apologise for posting in the wrong section to begin with;

I've heard you only need 4 or so clicks of the handbrake to safely park the car, I have to pull it all the way up until it goes no further! If I don't the car will roll! I was wondering if it was the handbrake cable, or actual rear brakes that needed replacing? Any help would be appreciated! :)

if its that loose it is probably both tbh. There's no way to tell without physically looking at them that i know of. But its not an expensive job to change the shoes and cables and you will notice a huge difference even on your footbrake. I didnt realise how crap my brakes were until ii had the drums all sorted out.
