Hello peeps......new on here and looking for some advice.
I have a 2000 6n2 1.0
When i bought it, there were 15" alloys on 195/50/15 tyres. wheels were 6.5 et38
when turning full lock right there was a grinding from the right wheel...on closer inspection i found that it was actually grinding on the tie rod end, wearing a groove on the edge of the alloy.
I got by with this by not using full lock right.....but now have decided to treat the old girl with some new bits.
I bought some standard vw 13" alloys on 175/65/13 tyres....5.5 et38
Fitted the wheels on the weekend and now both sides are grinding the tie rod ends
Can anyone help with this.....am i making an obvious mistake....this is the first vw i have owned and its a great car so want to get this fixed.
Any advice would be welcome

Thats a very strange problem
It sounds like your tracking may be out
Can you get a picture of what happens and the damage done
