Exhaust 6N2 GTi. Ideas?

Post by ButlerGTi »

Hi guys, not really all that made up on cars/car tuning.

ive been looking around at getting an exhaust on my car and tbh i have no idea where to start.
ive been told to either go powerflow or longlife.
they both ask what job i'd like doing in regards to it, but totally noobie i dont actually know.

i want an exhaust with grunt, but isnt over powering and can actually hear my radio. do i get the manifold changed? cat, de cat? full through? mid? silencers?
so many people throwing everything out there i have no idea where, what brand, or tbh what to spend my money on.

i dont just wanna buy the first exhaust i see and be very disappointed? I DO NOT WANT SOME BIG BADBOY CHAV MACHINE!! :p

so i've come to you lot hoping for some answers, recommendations or anything or the sort help.

Thanks, Paul

Hi mate, I'd say longlife is your best shout as you can go into the garage tell the guys exactly what you want in regards to sound and tailpipe dimensions and just leave it up to them. Usually a cat back system would set you bk around £300-£400 depending on tailpipes and overall length.

My mate used longlife for his system. It sounded and looked as he wanted.

Hope this helps. Ben
