Handles

Post by 5509433 »

Hi, i have a red polo and the laquor (sp?) on my handles are coming off, so the handles loook plastic and not the shiny red the other body work is.

I was wondering is there is any way to replace this?

Also, the interior door grab handles (used to close the door), have a handfull of scratches on them, wheres the best place to find a part number to get these replaced, and how do i remove them?

Polo 2001 Match

Thanks, Lewis.

Just get the extreior ones resprayed mate. It won't cost much. You can remove them by unscrewing the screw found in the door shut, and pushing the handle forward.

To get the interior ones off see this:

For a part number, just quote your reg nubmer when you ring VW and they'll find them for you.

I know for a fact that you`re looking at £12 a side for the interior items. Considered painting them mate? Its on my to do list, alot cheaper and more fun than going to a Stealership
