Ibiza Cupra - HELp

Post by Ballyhoo »

Hello everyone..not been on in a while! hoepfulyl someone can help! me...

I'm changing my Polo 9n for a new car and I've test driven a few cars (yesterday infact):

Seat Cupra 1.9TCI Cupra 160bhp
Seat 1.8 20V T Cupra 150 BHP

both lovely cars but my insurance company won't insure me. ANY IDEAS FOR GOOD INSURANCE COMPANIES TO HIT NOW?

Also any other cars to try? Type-R is a bit pricey and second hand ones have high milage and again insurance probs?

For the record I have a clean license, driving since 1998 and have 3 yrs No Claims Bonus.

Anyone know about the Skoda RS?

WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR: Something: Fune, fairly fast and not too expensive?

All advice gratefully received.

BTW: My Polo Silver 1.4 TDI Se wiht BBS Alloys and VW body kit is FOR SALE: 07976 566 046 (Josh-sorry if this sale info is infringing)

:D

Hello matey!

Neil on here just picked up a Ibiza Cupra TDi 160 and he's only 19 (I think) Pretty sure he's with CIS.

I'd go for the TDI as it's very easy to tune.

Not sure of the insurance groups, maybe 15 or 16??

The Type-R is coming down in price all the time.
There is one for sale at £13.5k with only 5,700 miles on the clock on this is a 54 Plate!!!

Plenty more for sale at similar prices look on the www.civictype-r.co.uk forums

The Ibiza Cupra 1.8T is 180bhp.

The FR 1.8T is 150bhp (which chips to 195bhp, the same as the Cupra) and the TDI is 130, and the insurance is a lot lower :D

Try www.confused.com

I was quoted £3300 on my own policy, so i ended up paying £1800 on my Dads insurance as a named Driver. (with CIS btw :) )

My insurance is due for renewal in August, so I'm hoping the quotes will nosedive as i'll be 20 then

Do whatever you can to get the Cupra TDi, it'll be worth it! 8)
