Cool.

Was just wondering. SEAT has only very recently arrived in South Africa and the Cupra is getting under my skin.

in a recent magazine test the cupra went round our Pakhisa Raceway in the same time as a BMW 130i!!! (bearing in mind we are way above sea level)

9n Polo PD130 or Seat Ibiza cupra...hmmmm...

Yeah the PD160 Ibiza Cupra remaps to 200bhp!

Why don't you remap your Polo and order an Ibiza PD160 air intake for it? That'll save you changing cars and will help you keep standard PD160s at bay! :)

yeah get a PD160 air intake and apparently a Green cotton air filter is very good as well!

Don't get a Green filter, they don't seal into the airbox right. Seen it on loads of cars now!

I ran a standard airbox, VAG air filter and PD160 intake...I had other filters and induction kits on but they made no difference!

I've seen poorly fitting Green filters on a few cars now, one was a Fabia vRS (which is also a 9N based PD130) and a Polo GT. If it doesn't seal, what does it filter?

Almost, take the internal VAG code's for a better comparison:
MK2(ibiza 6K) and MK3(ibiza 6K GP01) (as you called them) are both 6K models. this 6K platform is not based on the 6N/6N2 polo but a modified golf mk2/mk3 platform.
But the looks are 6N based idd. I own a 6K model polo classic, looks a bit like a 6N polo but if you take a closer look you'll see many differences.

Mk4 ibiza is a 6L coded model and that is based on the 9N polo platform
