VW Motorsport Alloys
VW Motorsport Alloys
Apart from a dealer wanting £1k, where else can I source a set of 17"/18" Black VW Motorsport alloys?
I've kept my eye out on every vw forum imaginable for the last 6 months, ebay.co.uk, ebay.de and even gumtree and nothing! Not particularly bothered if they're new or used, just got to be in good condition.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Re: VW Motorsport Alloys
Why particularly the VW Motorsport wheels?
Re: VW Motorsport Alloys
Just like them mate and maintains the OEM look. I've looked at the Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2/1.3's like yours in gloss black but the writing around the outside really spoils them. Another alternative would be the Fox Racing fx004's. They're very similar to the VW ones, just not sure about Fox Racing as a brand if i'm honest.

Mine don't have any writing around the edgesAJ_7 wrote:Just like them mate and maintains the OEM look. Re: VW Motorsport Alloys
I do believe they were a special order without the writing mate and I don't know where he got them from! All the others have writing on
They look amazing without though.

says 18" on their website, but you can order 17" too
Re: VW Motorsport Alloys
Oooh. Cheers for that mate, will look into it today. I can't make my mind up between a new set of alloys or getting my Boavista's powder coated. For the price of that though, I could almost get a new set of alloys. The fact that I've read so many horror stories about powder coating companies, doesn't inspire confidence either
Re: VW Motorsport Alloys
I've got these pictures of Gloss Black Boavista's off the VW website a few months back. I think it would make more sense to get these recoloured instead of new alloys, as I love the wheels and i've already paid £495 extra for them
I just don't know anywhere that's reliable, i've read bad things about even the nationwide workshops

Re: VW Motorsport Alloys
Boavista's look good and I'd refurb them if I were you, but like others have said you definitely need to tap it with the lowering stick

Re: VW Motorsport Alloys
The lowering stick will be in action in the new year, I'm going for the h&r 25/40's. £180 fitted from awesome gti. An alloy refurb, lowering springs, rear tints are all on the agenda soon as christmas is out the way
Re: VW Motorsport Alloys
I have a full set of VWR springs and a rear H+R set. Got the H+R rears -40mm too. Currently sitting under the house gathering dust!!
Bought them off Blaade when he put his GTI back to stock, but never fitted them as I went straight to Bilstein B16 PSS coilovers.

Cheers mate. They look like a good company but unfortunatley i'm based in Leeds. I'm not fussed about driving a fair distance to get a decent job done, but most workshops wouldn't turn them around in a few hours
VW Motorsport Alloys
Wheel Specialist will turn them round same day they seem to get good reviews everywhere
