According to ETKA those parts are sold at vw dealers unpainted.

Perfect. For me folding mirrors are needed.

I have not installed them on my Polo 9N3 and while the car is parked on the street mysteriously have been broken several times.

Yup. You have to have tehm painted your self like I have with my GTI grills.
Makes a LOAD of difference.

Make sure the painter smooths everything to get rid of the textured surface. It will look much better.
