It works perfectly except the button illumination, is necessary to change BCM to solve it, I will do it coming soon ... :)

VCDS

Hi Ciclo,
is the 6C steering wheel a direct install on 6R? Or is it necessary to change some wirings/connectors/etc.?

At the moment I'm desperately searching for a multifunction steering wheel for my 6R HighLine M.Y.2010.
At the start I was looking for the 6R steering type (the one you had before), but it has become very rare and too expensive: recently I've found the 6C steering (which I honestly like less than the other) at a very reasonable price. The only thing that is stopping me from buying it is my doubt about its compatibility.

You need a BCM from 2015 onwards to make work the lighting on these MFSW models. (BCM Max or High)
I recommend the following airbag wiring: 7E0 971 584 (very reasonable ... :) )
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2nv91 ... sp=sharing

MFSW with CCS (Polo 6R): it is still not possible in OEM way... it is possible with a module coming from space  (but I'm not totally sure).
On the previous page of this topic there is a clue to search.

i'm in the process of the kessy retrofit. so far the modules communicate with the rest of the car but keyless entry and start don't work.
i've had the modules adapted by an expert, but i'm also not sure about the VCDS coding and keyless entry.
the immobiliser part, that cannot be done with VCDS, but the coding of the BCM... could you help to check if it's ok?
:?: Test with Byte25 Bit5 enabled (also) -------- LC,25,5,Komfortschließen über Kessy

What is the reason you have Byte25 Bit2 enabled?
Also:
Byte24 Bit1
Byte20 Bit7
Byte17 Bit5
Byte3 Bit6
:?:
To be honest, no idea why the byte 25 bit 2 is active.

Byte 3 bit 6: folding mirrors only manually foldable below 10 km/h
Byte 17 bit 5: freigabe sonderfunktionen (MFG). No idea how to translate it. Activation of special functions?
Byte 20 bit 7: idling proactive with PTC (extra elec heater)
Byte 24 bit 1: for me the description is the stalks for HBA :p

I'll try some of them. I'll also try to find a jetta or a beetle and make an adapmap

I have up to 2017 for Polo, unless it has been revised like T6? [emoji85]

Thank you so much for the suggestion!
I'm not interested in CCS. :) And honestly I don't care so much about the buttons lighting.
I just want to be sure that the buttons will allow me to completely control the instrument cluster (6R GTI MFA+) and the radio (RCD 310).

Everything will work properly, but you have to keep this in mind.

You can use this guide to install the two cables you need (+15 & Lin)

I recommend this way, it's easier. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2nv91 ... sp=sharing

technically, the T17/15 isn't a +15 but a +75. almost the same but nonetheless...

:?:

T17/15 = +30
In the Der finne guide he uses +30 signal because at the beginning of 6R production the MFSW was powered with +30. It was changed to +15 in mid-2011.

+75 is not related.

However, it is very important to take into account all these positive signals (+50, +75, +30, +15). Especially for Kessy ...
Any progress with Byte25 Bit5?

Luckily the two extra modules are +30
The converter box J935 makes things a bit more complicated

Byte 25 bit 5 seems to work.
The only thing is the T73a/51. That is a power supply to the converter box on T10/10. It is the power for terminal 50.
J764 steering lock T16/12 gives a signal to converter box on T10/6. Then T73a/51 is connected to T10/1. T10/1 is the starter signal.

T73a/51 needs to output 12V at some point, for engine start. The problem is that it isn't, it's 0V. For now, I improvised and made the T10/10 a +15. This is not very nice solution.
(and to be fair, it makes the converter box obsolete too). I need to check out why this is.
