I have compared with another autoscan from another 2016 Jetta without lane assist and the test is reduced to the BCM Byte28, Bit5 (enable).

Yes, we have to take into account all the possibilities in our experiments since we have no VCDS label for Gateway.

For the second Byte my Gateway accepts these codings (without communication faults): 002201 or 002203

by the way, i just realized something.

recently i was messing a bit with the adaptation channels of the bcm.
i noticed that the headlight washers now start at the 5th cycle.
before it was at the 1st cycle.

i guess it's somewhere in 27, 28 or between 50 and 60. it just popped into my mind... but cannot test
