I've Ordered the loom from Kufatec, Bought the original heated seat switches and Module.

Connected Wire A36 to Connector A (pin 36) to BCM module, Power and earth to appropriate points. Plugged in switches and connected up aftermarket heat pads to the connectors that run under each seat, switch lights up for a moment and then doesn't work.

1. do I need original skoda heated seat elements
2. did not understand the heating regulator part, is this part of original heating element
3. Can I use aftermarket heating elements
4. any additional wiring required

I did the retrofit as well and would thanks for all the info found here.
I'm now stuck with the same step than the one mentionned by Lukas : seats able to work while ignition is off.
I my case slot 47 was not feed in the fuse-box and the only free slots available were permenent plus.

I'm a bit lost on how to get electrical connection in a clean way with an ignition switched plus within the fuse box ??
Hoppe this isn't a to naive question.

Help would be greatly appreciated.
Model Year of your...? 6R or 6C?

Do you have a pic from your fusebox?

1. Surely.
2. What exactly do you mean by the heating regulator part?
3. Probably not.
4. No, only the one indicated in the diagrams (first page).

In this case the original parts are highly recommended. (VW, Skoda, etc...)

Hi,

Could anyone help me, I've purchased the loom from Kufatec, however, there are two connectors on there which I do not understand where they go. One has no connector on there and the other has a connector but I think it goes into BCM, could anyone confirm? If it does which pin does it go into?

I have attached the photos. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Very interesting wiring of VW for the Polo 6C.
One seperate fuse for the switches on terminal 75
Two fuses, one terminal 30 (always live 12V), one terminal 15 (12V by ignition).

It appears the wiring loom of the Polo 6R is not directly compatible with the Polo 6C.
Even though the connectors are compatible, the wiring layout is not. The power supply is different.

Even more interesting:
The Polo 6C switches work in the 6R
The Polo 6C seats work in the Polo 6R
The Polo 6R and Polo 6C share the control electronics for the heated seats: 6R0959772A

**Update**

I have now received the Skoda heated seats elements.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SKODA-RAPID-o ... 2061118880?

I have tried to work out how it's going to go together in the seat including the wiring which is where I got stuck.

The Kufatec wiring for each seat has the same connector as the heated elements (the one that joins the top to the bottom)

There is also another connector to which I do not understand where it goes.

I have attached photos any help will be greatly appreciated!

Thank You

To replace the red connector.

By the way, the electrical resistances of the heated elements from Skoda Rapid, Toledo are in parallel, those from 6R are in series.
This is neither good nor bad, they are fully compatible. Both models have their advantages and disadvantages.
