Re: CNK's Polo 6R 1.4 Shadow Blue
Until now I thought that was only normal cover and the cover with ultrasonic sensor alarm roof, but..
today I noticed this:
It's from Volkswagen Polo Sedan GT 1.4 TSI 125HP: https://www.drive2.com/r/volkswagen/462918035867435222/
Very curious to me for what are two empty buttons on the sides.
And how does the SOS button works? It seems to me that I saw this button in a few old cars (but not in Volkswagen).

Re: CNK's Polo 6R 1.4 Shadow Blue
I know that a lot of US models have a module "75 Telematics" J499. That is an SOS function.
Never seen it before on this side of the ocean though.
Sometimes, there is a three-button keypad on the dash/headliner somewhere to operate the bluetooth module.
You may have seen it in VCDS in module 77, the option for the three-button keypad.

In Poland this button exists in the cars of Peugeot, Citroen, Mercedes and BMW https://allegro.pl/motoryzacja?string=p ... t-1-3-0222
I've never seen this in any Volkswagen
Edit.
Ok.. this button is from VW GOLF VII, VII KOMBI PASSAT B8 (5GM 035 624):
this is from VW Tiguan and VW CC:
I have no idea how it works.
SOS, Settings and Info?

What do you think about this one? Nice "Batman" spoiler, +50hp to 6Riichel wrote:I think the black stripe on the GTI spoiler would look drop dead gorgeous on your blue Polo
(joke)
@firegrafik wrote me that:
So it's great, however in Poland it will not workaccording new Russian law each new car since 2017 which is being produced or imported to Russia should be equipped with emergency call system with GLONASS (Russian GPS). The full name "Эра-глонасс" (ERA-GLONASS). When car get in accident this system automatically calls to emergency staff and send the car's position. It also has SOS button to talk with emergency staff. Currently only Polo sedan GT has it because it is a new model certified for Russia. Casual Polo Sedans is has certificate since 2015 up to 2019 so simple Sedans is not a must be equipped with ERA-GLONASS.
I suppose that cars with SOS button which I seen were imported from the USA.

Can you share the source and cost of the instrument cluster you got?
One problem with used instrument cluster is updating the Odometer. Even if we were successful in convincing a VW dealer to make the install, they will only be able to program Odometer reading on a new cluster. They will not do this on an already used cluster.
Will check with JIC Cracked as well.
Re: CNK's Polo 6R 1.4 Shadow Blue
Hey, I bought new one in official dealership for about 3K PLN, but there is no problem with new or used, because in Poland it's impossible to coding other IC in VW dealer, so I had to find a guy who deals with it.graaja wrote: Hi CNK,

But used 6R BlueGT instrument cluster is very very rare.. That is the reason I bought a new one

Thank you CNK for replying.
6R0920870CX is the part number of your cluster right?
The same cluster is available for purchase here:
http://www.allcarpartsfast.co.uk/vw-aud ... comb-inst/
Is it the same cluster that you have installed?
Thanks

Re: CNK's Polo 6R 1.4 Shadow Blue
Hi CNK, can you shed some information on how the new cluster was installed. Key immobilizer has to be recoded right?CNK wrote:probably yespatil wrote:Is it the same cluster that you have installed?

How simple or complex is the cluster upgrade. Any problems arise after upgrade?
Thanks
